History, philosophy

About us:

Our Budo federation is a NOT FOR PROFIT organisation that is run solely for the benefit of our members / friends and dedicated to the improvement for a better "together" in Europe.

We have set ourselves the task of getting to know budokas and martial artists from all nations who are interested in other budo systems as well as new friends from other European countries, to promote and support "togetherness".

For example:
Every year we organize an international budo event / course (without competitions) alternately in the most diverse nations in Europe. Each qualified teacher / trainer gets the opportunity to introduce and teach his system / style, by prior arrangement.

At the moment we are 4 nations who meet every year alternately in their nation/Europe. We are looking for more new members, friends and non-members who would like to participate in our events.

History:

On 20.02.2015 in Amarynthos / Greece, the following founding members launched the association "ISSHINDO KAN EUROPE".

  • Artur Marchewka and Marek Mroszczyk from Poland
  • Leszek Bubka and Martin Marshall from United Kingdom
  • Sarantis Theodosiou and Helen Krokou Pepe from Greece
  • Dietmar Schmidt and Stefan Reindl from Germany

It was decided that the association headquarters is in 82449 Uffing / Upper Bavaria, Germany.

Why a new association:

Many "Budokas" from the above-mentioned nations had the desire to reorient themselves politically independently, to be able to develop freely what is to be realized with this association. The elected representatives of the individual nations will make their contribution. Democratic decisions are mandatory for us. Martial artists from all budo systems are welcome, who are interested in our philosophical guiding principles and all want to develop together under one roof and feel good.

Philosophy:

So that you can see what we are about, here is our philosophical interpretation.

  • Isshindo Kan is called "the house of united hearts" and unites all budo and martial arts systems under one roof.
  • The focus is on the path of "togetherness" for all like-minded people and differently thinking - and practicing systems.
  • Through peaceful behavior and respect for each other, we can learn from each other, support each other, only then is one able or ready to accept new thoughts of the other.
